The Plummer Family is bringing their action-packed live stage performance of lively country music and comedy to the McAllen Civic Center Monday, January 28 for a 2 p.m. show.
Long known for their shows in Branson, Missouri, the Plummers were one of the three families who pioneered the music entertainment show that began in Branson in 1971. They owned their own theatre for 28 years and put on a show known for its music and comedy. Later, they sold the theatre and now travel on the road.
Darrell Plummer is the emcee of the show and sings country and gospel music. His wife, Rose is lead singer and has a bouncy style that gets everyone moving.
Michael J., who has been with the show for several years, is considered one of the best Elvis impersonators anywhere.
Lynn Rose Terry, a versatile singer who can belt out traditional country and gospel and yodel, as well as do comedy sketches, returns for this year.
Comedian Nearly Famous (a.k.a.) Tony Hampton sings a song he wrote, I Don’t Look Good Nekked Anymore.
John Driskill, who is lead guitar and a vocalist, Michael Tawfall, and Jim Gallagher, drummer, help with the musical presentations.
