Barbara Fairchild returns in February

Well-known Nashville singer Barbara Fairchild will be returning to the Valley to entertain again this February. Barbara and her husband, Roy Morris, have been players in the Branson community since 1992, when she went there to perform at the Mel Tillis Theater. Barbara started her own show in 1993. She performs the show not only in Branson but across the nation as well.

Barbara was a favorite guest of Ralph Emery’s Nashville Now, shown on the TNN television network and frequently hosted the program in his absence.  She also appeared on Hee Haw and The Tonight Show. She appeared in A Salute to CountryMusic and A Country Homecoming as well as her own special, Barbara Fairchild in England.

In addition to performing for fans, Barbara has donated her time as a spokesperson for "Feed the Children," as a sponsor for "Foster Grandparents" and as a member of "Concerned Women of America."

Barbara is a two-time Grammy nominee for country and gospel music. Her first nomination was for The Teddy Bear Song that went to number one on country charts in 1973. In 2003, Barbara and friends, Sharon White (Skaggs) and Connie Smith received four Dove nominations for their gospel album, Love Never Fails.

In addition to being talented singers, comedians and storytellers, Barbara and her husband Roy, are true friends of veterans. Their veterans show, For God and Country, is a variety of country and gospel music, comedy and a heart warming tribute to our nation’s veterans and has earned Barbara the reputation of being "The Veterans’ Sweetheart."
