There is just nobody like him entertaining in the Rio Grande Valley. When Jerry Bennett sits down at a piano and starts clinking the keys to create a honky-tonk beat and sing a song, people start smiling, nodding their heads or swaying to the music. Jerry performs a mix of country and gospel that delights the crowds who come out to see him.

Jerry has received several awards in recognition of his musicianship and showmanship, including Entertainer of the Year, Gospel Artist and Keyboard Player of the Year in the 2011 FAME Awards. He was voted top honors in the People’s Choice Awards in 2010. Also a songwriter, Jerry also earned a nomination for Nashville Diamond Award for his top five hit song, “My God Forgets.”

Jerry does several show dates each year with the Hemphills and also records with them. He has also worked with other well-known gospel singers and country music stars such as the Hinsons, the Martins, the Gold City Quartet, Connie Smith and Barbara Fairchild.
