Solid Gold Dance Party offers two new shows
Steve “Big Daddy” Jacobson entertains with original classic hit dance music presented in the style of the radio stations of the times. This DJ/entertainment dance presentation is designed especially for the over 50, “boomer” Winter Texan audience, says Jacobson. All types of dance music are blended, including country, rock, line dancing, and others, making sure that everyone hears their favorite music.
Jacobson has over 40 years in the entertainment business, including radio DJ work in Miami, Roanoke, and Savannah, among others. He worked for American Forces Radio and Television in Southeast Asia and Europe. He has also worked as a producer and director for various productions.
New to Steve’s shows in the Valley this year is the Solid Gold Sock Hop.
“It’s an evening of entertainment that takes patrons back to those great high school days,” says Steve. “A presentation of music by the original artists of the 50s, 60s, and 70s with a mixture of both rock and country hits. Along with the great music, there are prizes and give-a-ways for trivia, dance contests, best dressed “kids”and other cool stuff.”
Another new show this season is the Country Dance Party. This is an evening of country and line dancing hits by the artists that made them famous, says Jacobson. The country music spans from the 50s to today. Prizes and give-a-ways are handed out for the best country dance couple, best country dressed cowboy and cowgirl, and country trivia.
Both shows are three hours of non-stop dance programs, so there’s no lull in the fun.
Bookings for next season are going fast, but there are still openings. For information, call 956-587-2640.
