Victoria Palms is presenting another big show for one night only. The tribute to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers Show is happening on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m.   Previous shows have been sold out and this one is expected to be a sell out also.

Melody Knighton looks, sings and speaks just like Dolly Parton.  She peppers her show with funny lines and touching anecdotes in between singing Dolly’s famous hits.  She even re-enacts some of Dolly’s early radio jingles.  You’ll enjoy the glitz, glamour and down home fun that has made Dolly Parton so famous.  Melody toured Australia in “The Kenny and Dolly Show” and recently appeared on stage with Dolly Parton.  She has performed at the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Grand Ole Opry stage, the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, and has opened for “The Drifters” at the “Spirit of Liberty” Festival.

From the moment that the audience hears the words, “You painted up your lips, and rolled and curled your tinted hair,” everyone is aware that Kenny Rogers is about to walk onstage. When he appears, the resemblance that Mark Hinds shares with Kenny Rogers is nothing less than striking. Mark’s face, hair, and mannerisms are just like Kenny Rogers as he performs many of the hits from one of the best-known crossover country artists of all time.

Dolly and Kenny sing their individual hits and team up for their famous duets. The wonderful chemistry that made this duo so popular is a big part of the fun in this dynamic show.   Melody plays the perfect Dolly to Mark’s very authentic Kenny, as they light up the stage with “Islands in the Stream.”
