Rio Grande Children’s Home Music Fest is Saturday
The 15th annual Rio Grande Children’s Home Music Fest, filled with some of the top talent in the Rio Grande Valley, will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 at 12 p.m. At the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, 118 Paseo del Prado.
The entertainers include cowboy poetry reciter, Rich Bellert, who will also act as emcee, and the award-winning Link Family, a top bluegrass family band.
Freddie and Sheila Pelletier, talented guitar-playing and singing duo are on the bill along with the Ball Ranch Family, known for their harmonious songs of the old west.
Gary Crain, who does impersonations of Gomer Pyle and other characters will be there with his wife Patsy, who sings the songs of Patsy Cline.
Precious Jade is new to the show. She wrote “The Christmas Song” used in the recent “Dennis the Menace” movie by Disney.
The Renaissance Rockers, doctors who play music on the side of weekends, will add a lively note to the day’s performances.
