Valley Orchid Society

Sunday, Mar 4 – The Valley Orchid Society will meet at Valley Nature Center, 301 Border St. in Weslaco at 2 p.m. Admission is $5. Internationally known orchid grower Francisco Miranda of Miranda’s Orchids near Orlando, Florida will speak on the orchids of his native Brazil. He will have some varieties for sale after the meeting.

McAllen Music Club

Monday, March 5 -The McAllen Music Club will meet Mar. 5 at Valley Keyboards, 900 Harvey Street, McAllen at 2 p.m. The club sponsors scholarships for Valley high school students. A two-piano concert is planned.

Newmar Reunion

Nomad Shrine Club Breakfast

Tuesday, Mar. 6 - The Nomad Shrine Club will host a breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. to help fund Nomad Shrine Club projects. No reservations needed.

Red Hat Queen’s Council Luncheon

Monday, Mar. 12 – The Red Hat Queen’s Council met at Mozna Chocolate Factory, 115 E. Brazil St., in Hidalgo at 10:30 a.m. for a tour of the factory. Afterwards, lunch will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Tony Roma’s across from La Plaza Mall in McAllen.
