Nov. 8 -10 -- North American Jewelry and Gift Show, McAllen Convention Center, Fri. & Sat., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission, $5.

Nov. 9 -- 1st Annual 5K Sweet Run and 3 K Sweet Walk, sponsored by South Texas Juvenile Diabetes Association, Bentsen Palm Park, 1804 S. Inspiration Road, Mission. Run starts 9 a.m. and walk starts at 10 a.m. Run fee is $25; walk fee is $5. Register at www.stjda.org.

Nov. 9 -- Brownsville’s 14th annual Veterans Day Parade will be held on Southmost Road at Porter High School. Line-up starts at noon and parade starts at 2 p.m. Parade moves down Coolidge to Southmost Road to Cromack Elementary and 30th street.

Nov. 9-10 -- McAllen Convention Center will feature the Saxet Gun Show. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission $5.

Nov. 10 -- McAllen Convention Center (ballroom) presents Julia Wade Inspirational Concert, 3:30 p.m. Admission $10.

Nov. 11 -- San Benito will celebrate Veterans Day with a March of Veterans down Sam Houston Street to the San Benito Veterans War Memorial, 8:30 a.m. Call (956) 399-7464 for information.

Nov. 11 -- The USS Lexington in Corpus Christi will celebrate Veteran’s Day with a Salute to Veterans at 2 p.m., which includes a wreath laying. Admission for Veterans is free. Other adults are $13.95 or senior citizens, $11.95.

Nov. 16 -- Downtown Walking Tours begin at 9 a.m. at Java Café on Jackson Street in Harlingen. With exception of Jackson Market Days they continue throughout the season.

Nov. 16 -- San Benito will have Market Days at Plaza de San Benito, 225 E. Stenger, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nov. 16 -- First Presbyterian Church, 1102 Ash Dr. in Mission will hold a craft sale from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., free admission.

Nov. 16-17 -- Weslaco Museum will sponsor its Pan de Campo fundraiser at the Weslaco Museum, 500 Texas Avenue from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Nov. 17 -- McAllen Convention Center features 26th Annual Classic Car Fest, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entrance fee is non-perishable food items.

Nov. 21 -- Alfresco Weslaco will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Weslaco.
