Valley Calendar - From March 20, 2014 Issue

Mar. 25 – The McAllen Symphonic Band presents “Music from Around the World” at Trinity Worship Center, located at 1801 N. Cage (Expw. 281 and Nolana) in Pharr, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at all Wilder Resorts locations, Fiesta Village RV Park, Weslaco Chamber, all McAllen community centers and at the door (if available). Final show of the season.

Mar. 27 – Jammin’ on Jackson Street with Vance Greek & Friends at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Held at Railroad Crossing Model Railroad Club & Event Center, 101 W. Jackson, Harlingen.

Mar. 27 – Museums of Port Isabel, 317 Railroad Ave. presents “Telling Our Stories” at 6:30 p.m.

Mar. 27– Quinta Mazatlan, 600 Sunset Dr., McAllen presents “What Birds Tell Us” by Mark Conway as part of the nature series. Adults $3, seniors $2.

Mar. 28-30 – Harlingen Performing Arts Theater, 1209 Fair Park Blvd, presents, presents “Crimes of the Heart.” Call (956) 412-7529 for ticket information.

Mar. 30 –The McAllen Elks Lodge #1402, located at 3500 Jordan Avenue in McAllen, will host a “Fiesta Day” Membership Appreciation Luncheon on Sunday, Mar. 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. A Mexican buffet will be served for $8 per person. Entertainment will be Sharyland High School’s Mariachi Cielo Nuevo Cascabel and their dancers from Grupo Folklorico. For information or to purchase tickets, call (956) 682-3902.

Apr. 1 – The eighth annual Loaves and Fishes Luncheon and Style Show will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the TSTI Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $50. Call Loaves and Fishes office at (956) 423-1014.
