redheadexpress_thumbOne of the liveliest bluegrass groups to hit the Valley in recent years is the Redhead Express, a family bluegrass band from Alaska. The Walker family performs a high-energy show filled with bluegrass, gospel, traditional Irish country and old-time music. They add a bit of family humor to provide a fun evening for audiences.

Apryll (Mom) learned to play violin, piano and to sing harmony while growing up and dreamed of having a family band. Brett (Dad) sings bass and low-tenor harmony with the band.

Daughter, Kendra, writes and sings many of the songs the family band performs and plays lead guitar and fiddle in the band. La Rae plays fiddle and banjo. Alisa plays mandolin, sings and yodels. Megan plays bass and sings tenor.

Sean, Joseph and Ammon are learning fiddle and singing three-part harmony in their little boy voices.
