The production will run on November 7, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and will include a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 10. The Thursday, November 7, evening performance will include an American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation. Performances will take place at STC’s Cooper Center for the Performing Arts Main Stage Theater at 3200 W. Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” is a play that follows a night of verbal sparring, emotional revelations and gamesmanship between a middle-aged married couple and a younger couple. The play explores themes of truth, disillusionment and the nature of reality. This production contains mature subject matter and may not be suitable for people under the age of 15. Parental/Guardian discretion is advised. General admission tickets cost $5. Vegetable Container Garden Workshop at Quinta Mazatlán Quinta Mazatlán Welcomes Sentli Center for Regenerative Agriculture Thursday, November 7, 6 to 7 p.m., to host a Vegetable Container Garden Workshop, led by Shakera Raygoza. Participants will receive seeds to plant to start seasonal vegetables, a recipe for the growing mix and information on different soil mixes, as well as advanced knowledge on the benefits of various containers and growing tips. Sentli Center is a non-profit organization which aims to improve the quality of life of the RGV community by reconnecting people to the land and local food system. The center strives to increase the accessibility and affordability of nutrient-dense, sustainably grown Mission to host Halloween Spooktacular Festival The City of Mission, in partnership with the Mission Housing Authority, is thrilled to invite the community to the much-anticipated Halloween Spooktacular Festival. This family-friendly event will take place on Thursday, October 31st, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mission Event Center, located at 200 N. Shary Rd., Mission. Last year, the Halloween Spooktacular Festival drew over 3,000 attendees, making it one of Mission’s most popular community events. With over 50 booths and tables handing out candy, a costume contest, a haunted house, and much more, this year’s event promises an unforgettable experience for all. This festival offers a safe outdoor environment for families to enjoy the fun and excitement of trick-or-treating. Parents, and grandparents, are encouraged to bring their children to this safe and fun-filled night of Halloween festivities. While attendees are encouraged to bring their own bags to collect candy, a limited number of bags will be available on-site for those who need them. This event is free and open to the public.
