NOVEMBER 6, 2024 www.wintertexantimes.com 10 WINTER TEXAN TIMES Halloween tricks and treats were had by many By Carina A. Brunson Halloween tricks and treats were easily found at several parks on Halloween night. There were at least nine parks having events that evening and I was able to make it out to two of them – Winter Ranch and Bit-O-Heaven. The park halls were all decked out with Halloween decorations and attendees were dressed as their favorite superheroes, villains, monsters and more. The dance floors were full of dancing and line dancing, grooving to the music being played by Ron Moshier at Winter Ranch and Curt James at Bit-O-Heaven. It’s the only time of year you can find songs like The Monster Mash being sung and seeing monsters on the dance floor having fun. We also received photos from Bit-O-Heaven (Ed Hurley, photographer), Green Gate Grove, Seven Oaks, and Victoria Palms. Most of the parks had costume dances. Bit-O-Heaven made a full day of events with a golf cart parade, and a potluck before ending their evening with a dance – and there were winners at all three events. Here is a sampling of some of the fun Winter Texans had at these parks. Bit O Heaven 3rd Place: Wayne & Sharon Blindauer. Photo courtesy of Ed Hurley Bit O Heaven Golf Cart Parade.
