This year, we have decided we might start working on a little something each day this week. It might get us more in the mood for the holidays that are fast approaching. I think it will help getting some color in the house and lights outside. Maybe brighten up our moods a bit, add some daily cheer in our lives. We are already seeing homes around us with lights flickering in their yards – and it’s early even for them. It was like the orange for Halloween came down one night and the red and green were up the next day. Many cities are having their Christmas tree lightings this weekend, while others are waiting until the first weekend in December. Parades and other events will follow as well. Be sure to read our paper for details on the ones we know about, and contact your city, or talk to your friends, to find out about others that might be happening near you. Also, take some time to check out the local museums. Several have Christmas trees on display, some have angel displays. You never know what you will find for the holidays. What are your holiday traditions? Do you have a set time to decorate for Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas? We would love to see photos of your holiday traditions. If you would like to share your thoughts or photos, email those to carina@ wintertexantimes.com. includes crowd favorites such as “If Nobody Believed In You” and “What’s a Guy Got To Do,” and “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” Nichols continues to produce new hits today with 2021 hits “Home Run” and “Good Day for Living.” This year’s Ranch Hand Weekend Country Concert will have fans singing just about every song in every set with Deana Carter opening the show. Carter celebrates 25 years since her debut single “Strawberry Wine” brought memories of your first taste of love. The 5x Platinum debut album ‘Did I Shave My Legs for This?’ is packed full of songs “We Danced Anyway” and “How Do I Get There.” “We are so excited for this year’s Ranch Hand Weekend Country Concert lineup, we started the Ranch Hand Weekend Country Concert in 2018 to keep visitors engaged all weekend long,” said Kingsville Director of Tourism Janine Reyes. “We’ve seen tremendous success with these events thanks to the strong foundation the Ranch Hand Breakfast has built for decades.” The Ranch Hand Weekend Country Concert will also benefit Weavers of Love, Inc. who will host a series of raffles at the event. “You just have to feel good about being able to attend a funfilled night of great country music while also contributing to a cause that supports our community with nutrition for those in need,” Reyes said. “Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend.” General Admission concert tickets can be purchased online at EventMania.com. A limited number of VIP seats are still available. Those seats include food and beverage along with VIP parking passes and an opportunity to win artist meet-and-greets. Visitors can also purchase a Ranch Hand Weekend Getaway from a handful of hotels -- tickets to all the weekend’s events along with a bottle of wine will be provided in your room at check-in.
