An angel Tree will be located near JCPenny Court at Sunrise Mall for guests and shoppers to pick up an angel’s information. Gifts may be returned to Sunrise Mall Office, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the week. Sunrise Mall is located at Expressway 77 at Ruben M. Torres (FM 802) in Brownsville. December 4 – City of La Joya will have their tree lighting at 6 p.m. at La Joya City Hall. December 5 – Quinta Mazatlan kicks off their Holiday Music Series at 6:30 p.m. with an evening of smooth jazz performed by the Velvet Jazz group. There will also be pastries and drinks. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at quintamazatlan.ticketleap.com. A free shuttle ride will be provided from a temporary parking area located at 1400 Wichita Ave., near La Plaza Mall. The event will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the McAllen VA Clinic, 901 East Hackberry Ave. December 6 – The City of Edinburg will host their Night of Lights Parade at 7 p.m. along Closner Blvd. Downtown Edinburg will be transformed into a festive wonderland with the theme Country Christmas.
