Loop 499, Harlingen, on Tuesday, November 4, at 7:30 p.m. The Brothers Doobie are an exceptional musical tribute band dedicated to honoring the iconic sound of The Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald. Comprised of six incredibly talented musicians, the Brothers Doobie captivates audiences with their uncanny ability to recreate the soulful sounds and energetic performances of the original band. Featuring iconic songs like “What a Fool Believes,” “Takin’ It to the Streets,” “Black Water” and more, this group will take you on an unforgettable musical journey back to the ‘70s and ‘80s. The Harlingen Concert Association has been presenting internationally acclaimed artists to the community since the 1930s. November programs at Bentsen-RGV State Park Lots of good programs are in store for November at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park. With the time change, the park is bringing back “Our Night Sky,” and evening gazing program. Weather permitting, it is looking like it should be a good night for it. Going into their peak season, the park will also be bringing back regular bird walks, which are always a great time for everybody. There will also be programs such as Wild Wellness, Archery, and more. Lastly, the park is starting a monthly speaker series to go through their peak months as well. The park will host bird walks every Friday and Saturday at 8:30 a.m. A Plant Walk will be held on SunLearn archery skills at Bentsen-RGV State Park from NASP certified rangers. The following activities require reservations. Reservations can be made starting on the first of the month. The first Speaker Series event will take place on Thursday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. Wild Wellness will be held on Friday, November 14 at 8:30 a.m., and Archery Basics will be held on Sunday, November 16 at 10 a.m. The nighttime activities for November are the Night Ride on Saturday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Our Night Sky on Saturday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. All programs are free with park admission. Reservations are required for some programs as noted. All programs will meet at the tram turnaround at the park headquarters unless otherwise specified. Park grounds are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park store is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tram transportation service is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and leaves from the headquarters on the hour.
