This year’s Christmas concert takes audiences on a musical journey across the United States, featuring beloved seasonal favorites, rich orchestral arrangements, and heartwarming holiday classics from coast to coast. The evening will also showcase a special guest performance by the Deborah Case Dance Academy, whose elegant and expressive choreography will bring an added layer of beauty and storytelling to this festive event. “Holiday concerts have a unique way of uniting our community,” said Roger Olivarez, Music Director of the McAllen Wind Ensemble. “With Christmas Across America, and with the artistry of the Deborah Case Dance Academy joining us, we’re creating an immersive and joyful experience for families to cherish together.” “The dancers and I love the happy, lively sounds of the wind ensemble,” said Deborah Case. “Their holiday sounds give a lift to a dancer’s steps!” Olivarez, who has been directing the ensemble since 2014, has said before that there is a certain amount of magic in Christmas music and the Christmas concert has always been his favorite to prepare for. He loves bringing the music to the audience and it’s seeing and feeling the energy that makes every concert special. But with Christmas, we’re bringing back the memories of family, simpler and happier times, he said last year – and it’s the same every year with the Christmas concert. Admission to Christmas Across America is free, and guests are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance at www.mcallenwindensemble.org for a smooth entry. Patrons who prefer printed tickets may pick them up at the Box Office. Supporters are invited to enhance their concert experience by joining the Patron Program, which offers exclusive perks such as reserved seating, expedited entry, and more. A $50 donation ($100 per couple) directly supports new music, local arts outreach, and future performances across the Rio Grande Valley. See MWE pg. 3 McAllen Wind Ensemble
