The event drew quite a crowd this year, leaving barely any space for sitting in the Placita. Many gathered around the walls to watch the entertainment. I am sure it was partly due to the great weather – although it was a bit windy, and a little warm. The lines were long for a time as attendees waited for their free shirts and free lunch. All the booths at the event were busy. There were several food, drink and treat vendors, along with several businesses. Representatives from McAllen Wind Ensemble were present and said it was a delight to hear from the Winter Texans how much many of them have enjoyed their shows this year, and how few haven’t been to a show yet.
