In December, residents participated in the “Laying of the Wreaths” at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery. A number of guests went over to help tie the ribbons on and others were there to help lay wreaths at the ceremony on Sat., December 13th. “We have so many veterans in our park and were so honored to participate in this annual tradition for those who have sacrificed so much for our country!” Seven Oaks was again able to provide Christmas gifts for some of the needy children at Leal Elementary School in Mission. They worked with the school counselor and adopted 14 families and over 30 La Floresta RV Resort’s club champions Rodger Vanderville is presenting the winners of ladies club champion to Darla Strait and men’s to Frank Hartin.
