Upgrades included new dirt, new retaining wall, new configurations, and a whole new digital timing system and information screens. The chargers hosted not only an RC swap meet at the beginning of the season but also partnered with their title sponsor of New Sun Racing and hosted the 2026 RGV Dirt Oval Cup. During this event they had over 80 registered drivers with well over 125 entries for different classes being raced. They had racers from as far away as Dallas and as far south as Monterrey, Mexico. During the morning session only 55+ park residents were allowed to race, however during the afternoon session anyone was allowed to race. In the end it was a fantastic day of racing, food, and comradery all around. New Sun gave out plaques to the top three positions in both sessions and to each class.
