Kansas Day Celebration

The Kansas Day Celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The event will be held at Peter Piper Pizza in Weslaco (3101 E. Expressway 83). Check-in will be at 1 p.m. with the buffet to start soon after. Buffet luncheon includes a variety of pizzas, salad bar, breadsticks, dessert and beverage. There will not be an entry fee, cost will be based on your personal order. Entertainment will be Rusty Rierson. No reservations are required, but a yes/no is requested. The RGV (previously Ed Marten’s) Senior Texan Softball League is open to all local Texans as well as Winter Texan senior men and women aged 55 years and older. The league practices are held at McAllen’s West Side Park, located on S. Ware Road directly across from the McAllen Convention Center. The Division A practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. Division B practice is every Monday at 9 a.m. Practices run from now through December.
