October 8 - Join Mission Historical Museum for a discussion on the Summer of ‘66 exhibit that features photographs taken from three volumes of photo survey books that were part of the Urban Renewal Project No. TEX R-91 in Mission, Texas. The photos were taken in July of 1966 and briefly show the lives of local residents. The photos are of structures on the various city lots that were selected to be part of the proposed Lomita Urban Renewal Areas. These structures included residential dwellings as well as commercial and industrial buildings. October 22 – The Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas will hold the Pow Wow 52nd Annual Dakee Si (Fall Gathering) from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Alton Community Center, 349 Dawes Ave. Admission is free.
