Now through January 28 – Members’ Juried Art Exhibit at IMAS is open. This exhibit features community artwork that was submitted for a show and voted on by jurors. November 24 – The Art Business Incubator on South Padre Island will host a Sundown Scribble. This is an event for teams of two for a fun night of games involving drawing and guesswork, complete with zany rules. Hosted by artist Ryan Henry. Teams will compete for valuable art prizes. The incubator is located at 2500 Padre Blvd. #1. Event begins at 7 p.m. and costs $40.

November 25 – The Brownsville Farmers Market will be held at 9 a.m. at Linear Park, E. 6th St. and E. Ringgold St. The event is held every Saturday.

December 1 – Kick off the holiday season with the City of South Padre Island’s Annual Christmas Parade. Watch as festive groups and beautifully decorated floats pass by on Padre Blvd. The fun begins at 6 p.m.

December 1 – The Valley Symphony Orchestra presents the holiday favorite featuring the Valley Symphony Chorale, A Touch of Frost, returns for its 23rd year at 8 p.m.. The Chorale will be conducted by Dr. Sean Taylor, Director of Choral Studies at UTRGV. December 2 – South Padre Island will host their Lighted Boat Parade starting at 6 p.m. Enjoy a cool winter breeze and watch as boats of all sizes cruise by decorated in their holiday finest. Designated viewing areas throughout the route offer free public viewing as the bay sparkles with the lights of the decorated boats. Parade begins at Sea Ranch Marina.
