The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center (EWBC) invites the community to enjoy free fun during the monthly Spectacular Saturday Series. On the last Saturday of each month, the entry fee is waived for all visitors from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Spectacular Saturday visitors can enjoy indoor crafts or activities, or a walk in the gardens. Monthly themes include SPOOKtacular Saturday (October), Outdoor Nature Play (November), Puppet Play (December), Outdoor Games (January), and Alien Animals (February). Outdoor Nature Play and Outdoor Games will be available from 2 – 4 p.m.; all other Spectacular Saturday activities will be available 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

On Saturday, October 19, try your hand at butterfly baiting. Learn a simple technique to view butterflies up close, and then walk the gardens to see how many species you can find and identify. The activity will be available from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. The program is free for EWBC members and $2 for non-members.
