A Walk Around the Valley Pedro 1 600pxQuinta Mazatlán is proud to host Valley native and photographer, Pedro De La Fuente, on Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at 600 Sunset Drive, at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on The Back Porch at Quinta Mazatlán. His topic ‘A Walk Around the Valley’ will highlight key locations, animals, local architecture, and a night sky that can be seen--even from your backyard. De la Fuente will take you on a journey showcasing what makes the Valley unique and diverse.

 

A Walk Around the Valley Pedro 2Growing up as a Mexican national, De La Fuente developed a passion for photography: particularly landscape, wildlife, and astrophotography. Pedro has over five years of photography experience and has had his work featured at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Community Planetarium along with offices and businesses throughout McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley. With a strong background in education, De La Fuente is excited to share his knowledge on photography and showcase his art and skills through a series of his photos.

De La Fuente is also a member of the Upper Valley Art League (UVAL), has been featured on Texas Monthly Magazine, and has led multiple workshops at state parks and wildlife refuges all over South Texas. He is hoping to complete his bachelor’s in educational studies in the near future and looks forward to giving back to the community that helped develop his passion for photography.

Come meet Pedro De la Fuente at The Back Porch at Quinta Mazatlán, Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 a person.
