20221102 ALZHEIMERS WALK Denver 2764 webOn Saturday, November 12, upper valley residents will join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® — the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. 

Registration for the event can be done online, and is also conducted the morning of the event at 8 a.m. By registering ahead of time, participants can make teams and raise funds to support the cause. Teams and participants can be found online where you can donate to or share your link with friends and family.

20221102 ALZHEIMERS WALK Denver 3397 webThe event will be held with an opening ceremony at 9 a.m. The walk begins at 9:30 a.m. It will take place at Tres Lagos, 4350 Tres Lagos Blvd., in McAllen.

On walk day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent people’s connection to Alzheimer’s — their personal reasons to end the disease.
