Bentsen-RGV State Park has announced their March programs that include roasting s’mores. There are fun and informative programs for all ages. Scheduled programs are free with park admission. A few events require reservations.
The park has their hawk watch daily from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Hawk Tower. Bird walks are held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. There will be a Hawk ID Workshop on March 1 at 1 p.m.
Wild Wellness will be held on Friday, March 7 at 8:30 a.m. Fire Building 101 will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. The S’more History program will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday, March 22, there will be a night tour at 7:30 p.m. All of these programs require reservations.

Park grounds are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The store is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tram transportation service is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and leaves from headquarters on the hour.
