Bentsen Moth webExciting programs are taking place at Bentsen-RGV State Park next month. For bird lovers, Hawk Watch continues, as does the weekend bird walks. For the healthy minded, there are the Wild Wellness classes.

There are fun and informative programs for all ages. Scheduled programs are free with park admission. Reservations are required for some programs. All programs meet at the tram turnaround at the park headquarters unless otherwise specified.

Hawk Watch takes place daily from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Hawk Tower. There will be night tours held on Friday, April 4, and Sunday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. Wild Wellness, which requires a reservation, takes place on Friday, April 4 at 8:30 a.m. There will be nature walks on Friday, April 11 and April 18 at 9 a.m.

Two other programs that require reservations are Our Daytime Sky and Morning Moth Walk for Beginners. The Daytime Sky will be held on Saturday, April 19 at 3 p.m. and the Moth Walk will take place on Friday, April 25 at 9 a.m.

Park grounds are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park store is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tram transportation service is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and leaves from headquarters on the hour.
