The Mission Historical Museum (MHM) is now accepting submissions for its Turning of the Quilts program. The museum is looking for antique, vintage, or unique quilts to be featured in a special presentation, where each quilt will be revealed and celebrated one by one. A knowledgeable presenter will provide historical context and details about each quilt's story.

Submission Details

Quilts can be dropped off at the Mission Historical Museum until January 31, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed December 24, 25, 31). Participants are asked to include key information about the quilt, such as the maker's name, the quilt’s age, how it was acquired, and any personal stories associated with it. Multiple quilt submissions are welcome.

The Turning of the Quilts program will be featured during the Awards Ceremony of the 20th Annual Mission Quilt Show on February 6, 2026, at 2 p.m. This event provides a unique opportunity for the community to showcase their quilts and learn more about their history.

For more information or to submit your quilt, please contact the Mission Historical Museum at (956) 580-8646.
