20190118 Quilts Mission Muesum GU 2747 webThe Mission historical Museum will hold their Turning of the Quilts and Awards ceremony during their 20th Annual Mission Quilt Show on February 6, at 2 p.m. This event provides a unique opportunity for the community to showcase their antique quilts and learn more about their history. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. Admission is free.

MHM invites the public to experience the tradition of quilting at the quilt exhibit featuring works by talented local quilters. The exhibit will be on view through February 27, offering visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate quilting as both an art form and a cultural expression. 

The exhibit will be open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m., as well as every second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can enjoy a diverse collection of quilts that reflect the artistic talent of the local community. 

The exhibit is located in the Annex Building of the MHM at 200 E. Tom Landry St. in Mission.

ABOUT THE MISSION HISTORICAL MUSEUM 

The Mission Historical Museum is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, which first opened its doors in 2002, and serves the community of Mission and visitors to the area. Via donations, the Mission Historical Museum is able to offer free admission. The Museum maintains both permanent and temporary exhibits and presents a variety of events and programs for all ages. The museum’s interpretation goal is to inspire the citizens of the community through the presentation of our exhibits.
