It was an exciting week this past week. We held the Valley Star Awards, and it was a great event, as always. The attendees and Wintertainers™ all had fun. We always look forward to the show. We look forward to being with the Wintertainers™ and also with our readers. It’s a chance for us to mingle, talk to old friends, and make some new friends. And it also gives our readers some time to spend with the Wintertainers™ that attend, and possibly see some entertainment that they haven’t yet seen this season.
Plans are already being made for next year’s event. It’s always held on the second Wednesday in February (unless it falls on Valentine’s Day). So, you can save the date already for next year.
Our Wintertainers™ sure do appreciate our readers, participating in the Valley Star Awards, and for those that volunteer their time at the show. We have a great group of volunteers that help us out, and that help Mission Bell/Tradewinds, with the event. They help with the food, telling attendees where to go, leading the entertainers into their luncheon, helping with sound, the lights, supervising all the exits, helping with parking, and making sure the whole event runs smoothly. Our kids help out making sure things are taken care of, helping with ticket sales and photos, and just wherever they are needed. We have also been so thankful for our emcee this year, and last year, Dale Eisnhauer. He has really done a great job with just a little bit of guidance. This year he threw in some Valentine’s jokes and facts to kill the time in between set ups. He certainly does make the event more enjoyable.
We are so very thankful for all of those that help make this a great event and we look forward to it again next year.
Thank you!
