If you are looking for ways to start celebrating Christmas early, look no further. Cities throughout the Valley are turning on their lights and welcoming you to come in and join the fun. Some cities are having full weekend celebrations, some are even having month-long celebrations. Here are a few that we are aware of that we would like to share. I am sure there are a few more we don’t know about as well. Keep a watchful eye to see what your city is doing this holiday season.
Join Maestro Dabrowski, the Valley Symphony Orchestra, and the Valley Symphony Chorale for this magnificent celebration of the holiday season. Special guests for the event are Chorale Conductor Sean Taylor and Tenor David Sadlier.
The Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) Harlequin Drama Club presents “School of Rock-The Musical,” December 1-3, and 8-10 at the VMHS Performing Arts Center, 700 E. Two Mile Rd., Mission. The performances begin at 7 p.m. each day. Tickets will be sold each performance day at the door, starting at 6:30 p.m. General public tickets will be $10.
The McAllen Wind Ensemble, formerly the McAllen Town Band, is excited to start their 2022-2023 concert season with the first of four concerts on Sunday, November 13, at 2 p.m. America Rocks explores the spirit of America and its patriotic musical traditions, proudly saluting and commemorating our nation's military veterans.
The Harlingen Community Theatre will present Neil Simon’s comedy, The Odd Couple, next weekend. Ticket reservation will be available starting November 11th.
We are truly blessed. For the most part we are able to enjoy the great outdoors throughout the entire year. Plus added to that enjoyment we have cities who are always promoting entertainment and special parades and festivals. So many of these festivals are annual events and occur about the same time each year. If you haven’t done so already, why not mark your calendars with carry over dates for 2023.
