20221026 BlitheSpiritImage webSouth Texas College Theatre and Dance kicks off its first production of the year with Blithe Spirit by Noël Coward.

The production will run on November 10 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and will include a matinee at 2 p.m. on November 13.

In Blithe Spirit, Charles and Ruth Condomine gather with their friends, the Bradmans, and the local eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, for a night of “ghostly” festivities. Skeptic at first, Charles soon finds out that Madame Arcati may not be the fraud that he initially thought, when the ghost of Charles’ first wife, Elvira, suddenly appears to haunt him after a “failed” séance. Unable to leave, Elvira becomes a nuisance in every sense of the word. In this comedy, Noël Coward combines farce, emotion, and verbal wit to the great effect.

General admission tickets cost $5. For the first time since 2019, Main Stage Theater is back to full capacity. Seating is limited and advanced purchasing is encouraged. Tickets can be purchased online at www.southtexascollege.edu/go/theatre.
