20240221 3.4 webThe Fiesta Edinburg Planning Committee proudly announces the theme for this year's much-anticipated parade: "Texas Legends." On Saturday, March 2, residents and visitors alike are invited to join the city in the vibrant heart of the Edinburg Downtown District for a celebration like no other.

This year's theme, "Texas Legends," pays homage to the rich history, culture, and heritage that defines the Lone Star State, all in honor of Texas Independence Day. From iconic historical figures to the breathtaking landscapes and food that have shaped Texas into the legendary place it is today, the parade promises to showcase a colorful array of floats and participants paying tribute to the legends of Texas.

Floats will depict scenes celebrating Texas's historic figures, awe-inspiring architecture, breathtaking natural wonders, and mouthwatering culinary delights, ensuring an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.

The parade route will start at Richard Flores Stadium moving north on Closner Blvd and will end at the Hidalgo County Courthouse. Floats will start at Richard Flores Stadium located on Mark Pena Dr.; exit Tourist Dr. on to S. Closner Blvd.; northbound on S. Closner Blvd to W Cano St.; westbound on to W Cano St.; moving north on S. 10th Ave.; turning to E. McIntyre St. The parade will end at the north side of the Hidalgo County Courthouse

Fiesta Edinburg is a weekend event featuring entertainment, a carnival, and other events. Fiesta Edinburg will be held at the Bert Ogden Arean from February 29-March 3.
