As a new season ticket holder, you’ll enjoy exclusive benefits such as 15% savings on each ticket, no processing fees (up to $20 of additional savings per ticket), priority seating, and early access to events. The upcoming season promises an extraordinary lineup. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 wears the crown for the season premiere at Music of the Greats on November 1. It will also feature Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro Overture, K. 492 and Addinsell’s Warsaw Concerto with Juan Pablo Andrade as the piano soloist.

The holiday tradition of A Touch of Frost returns on December 6 featuring the Valley Symphony Chorale. The concert has many holiday favorites. On February 7, McAllen Performing Arts Center will host Cocktails con Fuerza – A night on the town with Gershwin, Ellington, Gabriela Ortiz, Schubert, and more. The Phantom and the Best of the Opera will be performed on March 7. The Valley Symphony Chorale will transform the stage into a tour de force of operatic classics. Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 and Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 wrap up an electrifying season of music with Romantic Reflections on April 4.

All concerts are held at McAllen Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m.

There are also a couple of special events during the season. There will be education concerts at the McAllen Performing Arts Center on January 29 and 30, at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. These concerts will feature Williams theme from Jurassic Park, Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony (I. Allegro moderato), and Gershwin’s Cuban Overture.

On April 17, the Valley Symphony Orchestra will hold their annual fundraising gala Bravo! VSO. It is an evening of music and elegance that supports their education and performance programs. The event will be held at 6 p.m.

The Valley Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Gelman Stained Glass Museum in San Juan on May 10 at 8 p.m. Concertmaster Geoffrey Wong will curate an intimate evening of chamber music in an illuminating and spiritual setting.
