Art Gonzalez webThe McAllen Wind Ensemble invites the Rio Grande Valley community to experience an electrifying evening of music with British Invasion – on Thursday, February 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center.

This exciting concert takes audiences on a musical journey across the pond, celebrating the rich and influential musical legacy of Great Britain. From iconic rock anthems and chart-topping hits to classic marches and timeless works by celebrated British composers, the program showcases the incredible breadth and impact of U.K. music across genres and generations. Audiences can expect a high-energy performance filled with powerful melodies, bold rhythms, and unforgettable moments.

“British music has shaped so much of what we hear and love today,” said Roger Olivarez, Music Director of the McAllen Wind Ensemble. “With British Invasion, we’re thrilled to bring together classical masterpieces and popular favorites into one dynamic concert that will excite audiences of all ages.”

McAllen Wind Ensemble Patron Program

Supporters are invited to enhance their concert experience by joining the Patron Program, which offers exclusive perks such as reserved seating, expedited entry, and more. A $50 donation ($100 per couple) directly supports new music, local arts outreach, and future performances across the Rio Grande Valley.

Board of Director Positions Open

As the McAllen Wind Ensemble grows in repertoire, audience, and community engagement, they seek additional community members to advance the musical mission. As a nonprofit with a 52-year legacy, the board of directors stewards the organization into the future. Through February 15th, they will be accepting interest from community members who have a passion for community music and who bring skills such as finance, legal, operations, marketing, community outreach and others.
