20200304 llano artThe annual Llano Grande Art Show has been set for Sunday, March 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Art Studio, according to the chairperson this year, Mira Smith. The public, as well as all residents of Llano Grande, are welcome to attend the display, visit with the artists, and enjoy wine and cheese as well.

“This event is so special each spring,” added Mira. “It gives our members a chance to showcase their efforts and honor their instructors who have taught oil, watercolor, and acrylic classes in recent months.”

Members of the public who attend the show should enter by the main gate and head south on Juanita Street. Signs and arrows will guide visitors to the Art Studio. The studio is housed in an historic ranch house on the property which has been renovated and used by the Art League for a number of years.

There is no charge for attending, but free will donations for the continued maintenance of the studio are welcome. Raffle tickets for winning a painting by Prudence Slentz will be available in the entry way, and other items can be purchased there as well. Some of the paintings on display in the studio are available for sale by the artists and will be marked accordingly. Others are for display only.

Members of the Art League who are interested in showing their work should have their ready-to-hang paintings to the art house by the morning of March 6 in order to be included in the event.
