The Kansas Day Celebration for the Rio Grande Valley will be held on Tuesday, January 27. The event will again be held at Peter Piper Pizza, 3101 E. Expressway 83, Weslaco. This is for all Kansans – former or current residents.
Check-in will be at 1 p.m., with the buffet to start soon after. The 2025 event was at this location, and many positive comments were received regarding the central location, and the buffet luncheon which includes a variety of pizzas, salad bar, breadsticks, dessert and beverage. There will not be an entry fee. Your cost will be based on your personal order. Menu and individual salads are also available.
There will be announcements, time to socialize, and door prizes. Entertainment with Rusty Rierson is included this year with pass the hat.
