The Griffin Grill was packed this past weekend when my boyfriend and I stopped by. According to others waiting alongside us, this wasn’t out of the ordinary. Those that were leaving after their meal similarly told us the food is worth the wait. Despite the never-ending flow of customers, service was quick and cheerful. From the host to our waitress to the chef that stepped out to greet customers, meeting with new and familiar faces alike, everyone made sure we were taken care of and were happy with our meal and service.
Asking our waitress about some popular dishes, she mentioned the Chicken with Avocado, Chicken Parmigiano, and some of their pasta dishes including the Chicken Chipotle Pasta and Fettuccini Alfredo (you can add salmon, shrimp, or chicken to this dish). My boyfriend selected the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken, and I decided to try the Roasted Rosemary Chicken which includes mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables on the side. The entrees come with an option of soup or salad. Being a chilly day, we opted for the Chicken Tortilla Soup. We also had Fried Mozzarella Sticks as a starter.
One thing you’ll notice right away about this restaurant is the atmosphere. It currently has seasonal décor that creates a warm and personable ambiance while the food is well-plated, giving a sophisticated presentation. And, as the other customers had said: the food was worth the wait. Everything tastes fresh and has exceptional flavor, due to most of the dishes being made in house.
Chef Antonio Huerta stopped by our table while he was greeting customers. Their ten-year anniversary just happened this past December, something he was quite proud of. He expressed his thanks to their loyal customers, saying that they do it for them.
