Julia Lane Cooper was the 2025 Valley Star Awards Female Vocalist of the Year and will be joining the other five artists on our stage this year. Even though she’ll be singing for us, she currently hosts immersive, interactive Murder Mystery Parties where the guests are the stars.
More than just a show, each of her shows is a high-energy blend of live theater, audience participation, improvisation, mystery, live music, and a little pandemonium – designed to entertain, engage and surprise guests of all ages.
Each of Julia’s performances features a richly themed storyline and a colorful cast of suspects, with one unfortunate soul that won’t make it through the night. It is the perfect entertainment for groups looking for something fresh, inclusive, and unforgettable.
In addition to interactive storytelling, each production includes a themed stage performance featuring live singing, humor, and theatrical flair – because nothing pairs better with murder than a good show tune. This unique combination keeps energy high, creates memorable moments and ensures that even those who prefer to watch rather than act, feel fully entertained.
Cooper has a variety of themes from Cruise Ship to the Wild West; Sock Hop to Speakeasy. She even has a variety of holiday shows like Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day. She said there is something for every group, and it gives a reason to have her visit more than once – each variety show has something different.
Guests are encouraged to come to her shows in costume. Her Murder Mystery Parties create laughter, conversation, and shared experiences long after the reveal. It’s more than just a basic live entertainment show, it’s a show that brings people together. After all, she says, nothing builds community, quite like accusing your neighbors of murder.
Julia is looking forward to giving our audience a glimpse of her parties, and a lot of her music. You can find out more about her, her shows, and schedule, by visiting her website at julialanecooper.com.
We invite you to come out to the Valley Star Awards to see her, Paul Mayham, Buck Hollow Band, Jamie Layton, AH Illusions, and Vinyl Spin on Wednesday, February 11.
