Men & Women of A Chord Practices

The Men & Women of A Chord, a barbershop chorus group, is looking for new voices. Go harmonize with them during their weekly practices at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at St. Mark Methodist Church, 2nd St. and Pecan, in McAllen. Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers

The Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers will have their weekly Thursday get togethers at the Las Palmas Community Center, 1921 N. 25th St., in McAllen from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will meet every Thursday, excluding holidays, until the last Thursday in March 2026. RGV Concert Band Rehearsals

After the holidays, the RGV Concert Band will focus on the January through March concerts held in various 55+ parks. The group usually performs six concerts per year during the season. Now-February 27 – Mission Historical Museum will have a quilt exhibit featuring works by talented local quilters offering visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate quilting as both an art form and a cultural expression. The exhibit will be open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. as well as every second Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. MHM is located at 200 E. Tom Landry. Now-February 28 – Upper Valley Art League’s local member artists will showcase diverse works of watercolors at the UVAL Gallery through the 28th. Opening reception is February 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public. UVAL is located at 921 E. 12th St., Mission.

February 18 – The McAllen Performing Arts Center present Broadway in the RGV with Mrs. Doubtfire, everyone’s favorite Scottish nanny, based on the beloved film. February 19 – The McAllen Wind Ensemble will present the British Invasion at 7:30 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center. Music celebrates British composers and chart-topping hits from the UK from classical to pop greats. Tickets are free, but they are required for entry. February 20-22 – 30th Annual Market Days are being held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. There will be vendors, food, and door prizes. It will be held at the SPI Convention Center. Visit spimarketdays.com for more information.

Now-February 27 – Mission Historical Museum will have a quilt exhibit featuring works by talented local quilters offering visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate quilting as both an art form and a cultural expression. RGV Concert Band Rehearsals

After the holidays, the RGV Concert Band will focus on the January through March concerts held in various 55+ parks. The group usually performs six concerts per year during the season. Now-February 27 – Mission Historical Museum will have a quilt exhibit featuring works by talented local quilters offering visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate quilting as both an art form and a cultural expression. The exhibit will be open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. as well as every second Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. MHM is located at 200 E. Tom Landry.
