Alcoa Retirees Meeting
The Alcoa Retirees Meeting will be held at 12 p.m. at Mr. Gatti’s on 2nd St., on Wednesday, April 12. The meeting will be held on the second Wednesday of each month through April. For more information, contact Gerry Hueser at (563) 340-3132.
Widows’ Comfort Connection
The Widows’ Comfort Connection is a peer-led widows support group which meets the first Saturday of every month from 12 to 2 p.m. at Tropical Valley Acres Mobile Home Park, 1240 E. Business Highway 83, in Mission. For more information, call Nancy Martinez at (956) 249-5292.
Model Rail Roading & Railroaders
Model Rail Roading & Railroaders have started getting together. Anyone interested in joining the group can join them Monday through Friday at the Hidalgo Pumphouse. Call Red at (313) 532-8549 for more information.
The Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers have begun their seasonal meetings. The woodcarvers are meeting at the Nomad Shrine Club, 1044 W. Nolana Blvd., in Pharr. The Carvers meet weekly on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. through March. Everyone is welcome to come and visit and join the club. After a third visit, you will be asked to become a member with annual dues. More information can be found online at www.rgvwoodcarvers.org.
