The Museum of South Texas History will host the Sunday Speaker Series Online presentation, “Callandret, The Man, The School, The Times,” featuring Sandra Tumberlinson and Lonnie Davis at 2 p.m. on Feb. 21 on Facebook Live.
McAllen International CarFest returns to the McAllen Convention Center, 700 Convention Center Blvd., Saturday, February 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a Social Distance Edition and free admission.
The Colliers are a vibrant, Americana group, that blends acoustic and electric instrumentation. They mix a host of genres like rock, pop, country, Celtic (Irish/Scottish), and folk, in a rootsy, down-home way. By doing this they form their own unique sound. They also put their own twist on a huge variety of covers of all genres from past to present, including pop-rock, country, R&B, swing, and even some Hawaiian pedal steel. They are refreshingly different from other Wintertainers™.
They say that time flies when you are having fun. Perhaps that is true. But it seems to me that time has flown this past year...and it has not been much fun.
