Now through March 9 – Charro Days will be celebrated in Brownsville. Parades will be held on February 28 and March 1. Most events occur on Elizabeth St. through historic downtown Brownsville. February 26 – The McAllen Convention Center will host the Snowbird Extravaganza from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and there will be entertainment and door prizes. The convention center is located at 700 Convention Center Blvd.

February 27-March 2 – Fiesta Edinburg will be held at the Bert Ogden Arena. There will be entertainment, a carnival, and more. Concert tickets are available at www.bertogdenarena.com.

March 1 and 2 – Harlingen Community Theatre will be featuring Cinderella at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $25 and sold online at www.hctvalleystars.org. Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the door on performance days. The box office opens one hour before curtain. The theatre is located at 1209 Fair Park Blvd.

March 1 – The Brownsville Farmers Market will be held at 9 a.m. at Linear Park, E. 6th St. and E. Ringgold St. The event is held every Saturday.

March 1 – Firemen’s Park in McAllen will host the Growing Growers Farmers Market at 9 a.m. The park is located at 201 N. 1st St. The event is held every Saturday.

March 1 – The Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas will host their 55th Annual Nde Daa (Spring) Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas Homecoming Pow Wow from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Alton Recreation Center, 349 Dawes Ave. in Alton. March 2 – The Port Isabel Antique & Flea Market is a monthly pop-up experience featuring a wide variety of local custom creations – upcycled, recycled and repurposed; collectibles, plants and jewelry. There is free parking and no admission. It will be held at Beulah Lee Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

March 2 – The Pharr Community Theater and Pedro Garcia are hosting an adult acting workshop from 2 to 5 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of believable acting, drawing from both method and technique approaches, and will include audition preparation, improvisation exercise, resume and headshot preparation, and practice with monologues.
