Picture4 webThe Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas invites you to their 53rd Annual NDE DAA (Spring) Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas Homecoming Pow Wow on Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Alton Community Center, 349 Dawes Ave. in Alton. Dancing and presentations will be held throughout the day. The event is free.

Celebrate and experience American Indian culture, history, drumming, singing and dancing from tiny tots to seniors. Vendors will be selling Native food, art, crafts, jewelry, supplies and wares. There will also be raffles and cake walks. There is something for everyone.

There will be a special musical performance by Sayani at 12:15 and 6:30 p.m.

Gourd Dancing will be held at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. A Grand Entry will be done at 1 and 7 p.m. An intermission will be held at 4:30 p.m. At the grand opening ceremonies, dancers will follow the guard into the arena dressed in beautiful regalia. Closing ceremonies will begin at 9:30 p.m.
