20220302 Winter Texan Bluegrass bandThe Rio Grande Valley Gid-R-Done Bluegrass Band will be having their last performance of the season at Roadrunner RV Park next week. Their show will be held on Wednesday, March 9, from 4 to 6 p.m.

This traditional Bluegrass Band is filled with Rio Grande Valley Winter Texans. It is a great bunch of very talented musicians sharing wonderful vocal harmonies and some of the best instrumentals you’ll hear in the Valley. This culmination of talented Bluegrass musicians is purely a blend of what is considered to be an extremely entertaining art form, says band leader Wayne Uncer. He added that the band is without a doubt, probably one of the best kept secrets of talented players and singers you’ll find in the Valley.

The band only does about five to ten performances each winter season. They have been raising money for St. Jude for over seven years right here in the Rio Grande Valley. All performance proceeds go to St. Jude. Over the last five to six years, the band has raised nearly $45,000 for St. Jude.

Over the years they have performed at such venues as the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and BBQ, Brownsville Historical Society, Edinburg Museum Heritage Days, Jackson St. Market Days in Harlingen, the Pharr International Food Festival, SPI Convention Center and over 30 RV parks throughout the Valley.

Roadrunner RV Park is located at 1222 Cesar Chavez, in Alamo.
