BOBBIE PUNCH 600pxYou are in for a treat at this year’s Valley Star Awards Show. Although we are not presenting awards this year because of limited attendance numbers and not all our favorites being able to entertain in the Valley this year, we are still going to be putting on a great show. The lineup includes six well known Wintertainers.

Bobbi and Punch are an energetic duo that perform a variety of hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, as well as gospel and current music of the day. Everything from CCR and Martina McBride to Bob Seger and Alabama is included in their show and features dynamic vocals, live instrumentation, and comedy in a terrific show with a down-home feel.

Diego and Edith are a beautiful couple that have been entertaining Winter Texans for about 11 years. They love to make people dance and to see people enjoying their music. They perform just about anything they can sing. Diego plays the keyboard and both do vocals.

You can’t have a show without some comedy thrown in, and we will have some great clean comedic fun with Mark Staggs “Festus” Live Comedy Show. Mark Staggs does over 100 impersonations of famous people and celebrities. He, of course, has his own impersonation – Festus. Festus is regarded as Epic with his own show. Festus also does his own impersonations of people like Jimmy Stewart, Liam Neeson, Forrest Gump and Darth Vader.

Jamie LaytonJamie Layton sings with a deep voice. He sings gospel and country. His love for gospel music began as he listened to Gaither Homecoming TV Shows in the 90’s. He loved singing with the bass singers. After attending music school, he was hooked on singing. He has sung for the River City Quartet, by himself and with the Abundance Quartet.

The Midnight Mustang Band are a group of four that have loved music since their early years. The men have also played with The RGV Rusty Rockers. They are all from Mission. The group specializes in Classic Rock and Blues.

Last, but not least, is Redneck Revival, or Bob and Alta. The Redneck Revival Show is a combination of clean country music and comedy. They perform skits, music, and clean comedy. This is their second year in the Valley. Bob, also known as Pastor Pudge, and Alta, also known as Sister Sludge, have been performing in Branson for the past eight years. They both have a long history of performing – whether it be music or as a rodeo clown.

The show is going to be a great one with a wonderful mix of oldies, rock and roll, blues, country and comedy. Like every year, this will be a show you do not want to miss. There will still be plenty of fun, music and laughter.
