20221026 Hallowings webSouth Padre Island is thrilled to announce the annual HalloWings Across South Padre Island Monarch Migration Celebration. The event will take place on October 29, at the South Padre Island Birding, Nature Center and Alligator Sanctuary.

“HalloWings Across South Padre Island is a beloved event that celebrates the grand migration of the monarch butterfly,” said Blake Henry, South Padre Island CVB Executive Director. “Not only does it offer fun for the whole family with a variety of activities, but also allows the chance to enjoy this incredible and natural phenomenon in a way that is safe for the species. We’d love for you to join us for a family-fun-filled day as we celebrate one of the wonders of nature.”

HalloWings Across South Padre Island, a local festival dedicated to the majestic monarch butterfly, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, and offer fun and educational experiences to learn all about the wonders of the Monarch migration. Activities range from butterfly gardening presentations, nature walks, and nature crafts to live music, games, and much more. There will even be an opportunity to purchase native plants so visitors can help aid the Monarch migration back home.
