Costa Messa: Full of flavor and spice

20221102 TOV Costa Messa 01 webCosta Messa is more than just another Mexican restaurant. This place offers chips as soon as you sit down with 3 dip options. Besides your regular red salsa, they offer a green sauce with jalapenos with mild heat, and a garlic sauce with a bit more heat, if not slower. All three of them were good and provided something to fit different palates.

We thought about ordering a botana like suggested, but decided we needed to try some different dishes so we could have a better taste at the offerings.

My husband ordered a medium Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was served in a cocktail glass with cilantro, onion, avocado, cocktail sauce, and shrimp. It was nearly gone before our entrees arrived.

Before our entrees we were pleasantly surprised with a vegetable soup. The soup was full of flavor with large pieces of carrots, celery, onion, and zucchini.
