Festival of Tables was better than ever!

Red Hat ladies from all over the Rio Grande Valley gathered for the first time in two years at Alamo Country Club on February 25 to view the elegant tables set by chapters from all over the Valley and to meet and greet old friends. A total of 25 tables with different themes were set for the ladies to enjoy. For an hour before lunch was served ladies browsed the tables to see which ones were their favorites.
It was a beautiful day last week when several Veteran residents at Alamo Rose were honored with patriotic themed quilts made by the park’s quilters.

The Senior Texan Softball League is hosting the 22nd Annual Canada versus USA Senior Softball Games on the fields at McAllen Westside Park, 1000 Ware Road (on the west side of Ware Road, ¼ mile North of Expressway 83).
The Rio Grande Valley Gid-R-Done Bluegrass Band will be having their last performance of the season at Roadrunner RV Park next week. Their show will be held on Wednesday, March 9, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Museum of South Texas History presents “Women on the Warfront,” a spotlight exhibit available for viewing now through April 3. The exhibit will be supported by a Sunday Speaker Series presentation by the same name on Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. It will be presented by Melissa J. Peña, collections and exhibits coordinator at MOSTHistory.
