The Senior Texan Softball League is hosting the 22nd Annual Canada versus USA Senior Softball Games on the fields at McAllen Westside Park, 1000 Ware Road (on the west side of Ware Road, ¼ mile North of Expressway 83).

The Rio Grande Valley Gid-R-Done Bluegrass Band will be having their last performance of the season at Roadrunner RV Park next week. Their show will be held on Wednesday, March 9, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Museum of South Texas History presents “Women on the Warfront,” a spotlight exhibit available for viewing now through April 3. The exhibit will be supported by a Sunday Speaker Series presentation by the same name on Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. It will be presented by Melissa J. As we closed out our 11th Annual Valley Star Awards show, we found ourselves at a crossroads that we come to from time to time when we decide it is time to honor someone for their special contributions to the Wintertainers and the Winter Texans they come to entertain.
The 10th Annual Shuffleboard Tournament was held at La Floresta RV Park in Mercedes. While dark clouds threatened rain, the weather cooperated, and the tournament was able to be played without delay. There were 68 participants in the double-elimination event.
